Hi Everyone,
I've a problem with the french language : when I switch to french, I'm unable to see any product, the category disapeared, I also cannot see the modules, shipping, payment, etc.
The member Daoho posted the similar error two month ago, and had a reply from another member "Gary", but it's too complicated for me, I begin in php and mysql, so I need details about how to fix this problem.
This was his reply :
"Regarding language - when you add new - you have to check quite a few of tables (especially ones that have 'description' in the name) - and then you have to duplicate records (ideally - to tranlate them - but just to have anything appear - it is enough to duplicate) in them - using new language id."
I don't know how to duplicate records, could someone explain in detail.
Many thanks for further help.

At the least, after you have enabled the french language extension, you will need to go to the store admin and enter french product information and category information. You will see a tab for English and now a tab for French. If you do not enter the descriptions in french, the products and categories will not display when french is chosen as the front end language.

It is probably the order_status values but you should check all areas of localisation in the admin menu. The order_status admin user interface is broken on my installations (no time to check why) so I have attached a picture of the way the table should look (in this case for two installed languages) You will have to do something similar in your database using (say) phpmyadmin so that you have one entry for each order_status_id, for each language_id.

I checked why order status admin was broken ;)

Have a look here and you will not have to hack your database after all http://forum.opencart.com/index.php/topic,1198.0.html
