What Shipping Extension???

Hi All,

Any suggestions. I have a website that sells seeds online. For the most part seeds get sent in envelopes so one rate covers this. But the site also sells hevier items such as chilli sauces...

What I require is an intelligent shipping extension that will know that once the weight of the products is over a certain amount, it charges another shipping method automatically.

I am sure an extension like this exhists, I just would like to have a recommendation on this please from anyone who knows which is good.

Are you wanting to base the cost on the weight of the cart (i.e. all items together)? If so, you can use the built-in Weight Based Shipping extension.

If you want it based on the individual weight of the product, you might need something else, like Product-Based Shipping. That can set rates based on groups of products, so you could group heavy and light products into two different rates. If you want it based on the weight of each product, I'm not aware of something that currently does that except Ultimate Shipping, although I'm planning on adding that option to my Formula-Based Shipping extension soon.
