Does anyone know of or has anyone created a US English Language Pack.

I am using OpenCart 1.5.6.4 and I can't find any language packs for that version to even start creating one.

Thanks! :o

Not that I'm aware of. The easiest way to start is to copy the default language files. I know "cheque", "localisation", and the date format would need to be changed. If you're only shipping domestically in the United States you could change "postal code" to "ZIP code" too.

Copy the folders admin/language/english and catalog/language/English and name them english-us.

In both folders, rename the file english.php to english-us.php

Hey Presto, you have a US language pack!

Then it's just a case of editing all of the files. You can use a program like Notepad++ to change all instances of colour to color etc.

You will need to add the new language by going to System | Localisation | Languages. Just see how it's set up for English and copy the details over to your English-us language.

Hope this helps
