Special Gift Card

Below what i need, is there any extension can do that ?
Is it difficult to develope an extension can do that ?

My idea:

I've a restaurant need to sell dinners as gift cards.
I've to add some predefined gift cards as generic product, only when the customer add one to cart the gift card is customized and serialized.
A customer buy a dinner gift card on site and send the gift card to friend or save/print as pdf, there are some parameters like people number and dinner type that enstablish the final price.
Later this friend come to my restaurant and show me the gift card.
I look the code on gift card, open backend of my site and check if this code is valid, if yes i close the gift card.
As extension of this idea i think to add a QR Code to gift card, this code has into a custom web link to close it automatically using an iPhone App like "Quick Scan", logically this need a simple authentication to avoid any people can close cards.

This could be developed as an order total module. Whenever the API needs to call the related service with authentication, it is already possible from this type of module to close the transaction of particular gift cards so that no other users can use them afterwards.
