htaccess file disappeared

I uploaded the zip file for OpenCart and extracted it on the server. I remember seeing the .htaccess.txt file on the server but after I used the install feature, the file disappeared.

What am I supposed to do with this file? Just re-upload it to the same directory and rename it to .htaccess ??

some FTP programs hide files that start with a dot. Try another client. CoreFTP Lite is a free one that supports dot files.

Continuing on, what was I supposed to do with this .htaccess.txt file? Just rename it and that's it right? I did not see this info in the install.txt
