I've tried different shopping carts and given the features and ease of use, I really like OpenCart. It doesn't have quite the number of bugs that another cart I liked a lot but had to quit using because of all the bugs. But I am having a slight issue here.
I'm trying to get my Google Base feed accepted by Google, but it rejects my feed due to lacking the Google Product Category. I've found several different forum threads saying insert some line of code into the google_base.php file. I've tried that, but when I do it kills my feed entirely (not on Google's end, but the feed itself). So then I reupload the original php file and it works again. But I still can't get Google to accept the feed because I'm right back where I started.
So then I uploaded vqmod and got it installed properly. I then got the Add Google Product Category extension that uses an xml file in the vqmod/xml folder. After uploading that, that, too, killed my feed. When I deleted the xml file for that, my feed then went back to working properly. I have OpenCart 1.5.6.4
Can somebody please tell me what I'm doing wrong? If I can get Google to accept my feed I would be very grateful.
