Hi,
As with others I am having memory issues with exporting 4000+ products, as I only need 8 pieces of information that I need to export/import I am assuming this would reduce the memory required. Is this possible with this extension to just import/export only these or would I be better off working on another extension.

Thx all in advance :)

With that extension it is all or none. If you only try and update '8 pieces of information' and leave everything else out of the excel spreadsheet then you will only have those 8 pieces of information in your store. It erases everything then imports everything that is in the excel spreadsheet. If it isn't in the spreadsheet then it will not be in your store when you run your import.

Shame as it is so easy to install, I really only need to bulk update any pricing that I have, everything else is not required once all of the products have been added.

I will have to look at another option. :(

Thx :)

I can see if you never want to update products in bulk and just want to update prices of products in your cart then the one I adapted for my use might work for you: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... n_id=17282

BUT I do think you will most likely want to find a import / export tool that can handle bulk imports because at some time I would assume you'll want to add multiple products again.

Hi Cue4cheap, I will look at your alternative, The fields I need to change are main price & any discounted prices that are present.

When will we see an update to version 1.5.6.4 ? If I use an old version of the import tool I get several errors.

??? Confused by your question. If you have uploaded the file in the correct directories and have VQMod installed then it should be found in your admin under System --> Import/export.

In addition to the import export tool I also have a product color option (productcoloroptionv1.4.4) and a product option image (productoptionimagev1.8.0) extension installed. When I export my products and categories as an excel file the option for color options are there on the options worksheet but the image files are set as no_image.jpg. Then when I import the spreadsheet with the new products, the color option is seemingly ignored and I have to manually reset all the color options and option images.

Is this resolvable or will I have to set all the color options manually every time I import new products in a spreadsheet.

thanks

Dave

Hi,

I'm using dependent options, and an import removes the dependencies. Importing a blank options sheet removes all options.
How do i remove the options from import/export so that I keep the options and dependencies. I realise that options will need to be set up manually then.
