No Dropdown in Category Parent Admin

In the admin area the category Data tab demo's with a dropdown menu. When I add a new category I have no dropdown to pick the categories parent (to make it a sub-category). There is only a data entry field.

When using copy/paste I put a parent category name into the field the categories do not display as a tree.

Am I missing some form of category accordion module? There isn't any such module in my default install.

the opencart demo is working on old vesion 1.5.4.1 and you are using 1.5.5.1 (or 1.5.5 ).
Opencart now uses autocomplete to assign categories, you type in first few letters of category and it shows up and then you tag it with that product

Do you know how many levels are supported? My store has so many categories it's unreasonable. The rational interface handling would be to cluster in fewer categories but that means I need to be 4 levels deep.

there is no limit on number of levels of categories

In my admin the autocomplete option in category data tab is not working

How could i enable it?
