Hi,

We've been working extremely hard on this for the last few months and we have just a couple of extensions to implement, quotes and technical support area which'll be linked with the Returns section. Currently our domain address is hosting our maintenance page but you can click on the following URL to check out the site: http://uniqpcs.co.uk/index.php?route=common/home (if you click the homepage it'll take you to the maintenance page) that'll be changed at the end as we've completed the SEO on the site that's the only thing left.

The only other thing apart from the two extensions mentioned above, is that we have the task of importing our products and and some proof reading here and there.

Any criticism is welcomed and thank you for your time :)

Hi there,

Just had a quick look at your store. Your store is very nice. I have only look at it for a couple of mins but the two big things that stood out for me.

1. There is a little pop man in the bottom of the screen which does not seem to have any purpose (see below) I am not a big fan of pop ups but that might just be me,

2. You only have email address a a point of contact. If you are selling in the UK then at the bare min then you need to have a address to be selling legally. But I would also recommend adding a phone number. If people are going to be spending there hard own cash some (old people like me) need to know that there is someone at the end of the phone.

But other than that I really like your site. I wish you luck with it.

To be honest with you it looks cluttered to me.
I suppose when you sell that many things there is nothing you can do about it.

Thank you for your feedback.... we have since removed the bottom bar, it was being hosted on another sever and was slowing the site down a lot more.

Will definitely add the registered office address, as of now point of contact is via email, however in the near future we will introduce a much more efficient service with phone service.

hmmmmm it is difficult to showcase everything without it being cluttered but still thank you for your feedback. Much appreciated.

Hi there,

Looking a lot better without the bar at the bottom.

I completely understand that when starting a business having a phone number might be something low on your list. But I can not recommended it enough. Check out http://www.voipfone.co.uk if you are looking for a good but not wallet busting number and if you want you can either divert it to your mobile or App. Also have you thought about Live Chat?

I have just had a look at your contact page. You have a drop down box with three forms. I would recommend reducing it to just one form. The less clicks people have to make then the more they are likely to contact you.

But really nice.

Hi,
I like your site. It's professional looking, well organised, fast and easy to use.
Some thoughts...
1)Did you think about making it responsive so it adapts to different display sizes? I checked it by resizing my browser window and it didn't seem to respond (didn't get chance to check it on a tablet or phone). When I developed my site ( http://www.finevintageart.com/ ) I used a Chrome plugin called Web Developer to simulate different displays, it was really useful.
2) I work on a 15.6" laptop with FHD screen. The fonts on your site are readable but a little on the small side...someone with imperfect eyesight might find them a bit small.
3) Might consider making it a bitter cleaner looking by moving some of the social network icon clutter to pop out side bar. See my site where I have something like that for Facebook.

Good luck

Thanks, there is definitely room for improvement and we will certainly take on board everything you've pointed out/. By the way thanks for the voip link. We are working on the contact page so hopefully it looks and functions are greatly improved.

Thank you for the kind words, I've exhausted many hours on this site after the dev did a very very poor job initially. On that note, the responsiveness of the site was completely 'destroyed' when they worked on it and unfortunately I lack the experience to fix that side of things, however, it is definitely on my to do list.

I completely understand the font size might be small depending on the resolution that it is being viewed on so thank you for pointing that out. Also the social media icons, initially we removed the ones on the left column but it was later added again not sure why, but I do like the idea of floating social media icons on either the left or right side of the page. The only thing I don't particularly like with those floating things is that, again when reducing the window size, they overlap on the page but I just realised if you remove the z-index: xx; from the css you can get to hide behind the main page content :)

So I might just remove the social media links on the left column and add some floating social media icons like you have done so :)

Thank you all for your input, it is greatly appreciated. By the way, we have certainly made some improvements on the speed of the site, after recently moving to a VPS server and doing some extreme caching etc page load time is pretty instant. The site is quite heavy in terms of images, extensions and vqmods however, I think that it is fantastic when compared to a lot of our competitors.
