How to create opencart for car parts

Hello

I have some knowledge about php, hosting etc, but this is first time when I'm using eshop at all. I need create eshop for car parts, my idea is have categories on left like brakes, absorbers etc, but on start of shopping customer should be able to select his model and type of car and every item in opencart should have stored to which cars it fits. How to create this "2 dimensional array" of items in opencart?

you probably want to look into filters, or a custom product filter system. there are a few nice filter systems out there but you'd probably need to tailor them to suite your purposes. i'd be interested in this job if you're open to building something custom from the ground up.
