Can we display categories and subcategories together?

Hi,

I want to display categories and subcategories together in the navigation menu, currently, it displays categories and when you go to respective category, its subcategories are being displayed.

The output I require should be as follows:

Category 1
- Sub Category 1
- Sub Category 2
- Sub Category 3
Category 2
Category 3

Is there any way to change that functionality?

Thanks a bunch but I was looking for some kind of function which I can use without modifying the code.. so while updating the cart, I don't have to worry about the modified code..

Basically, something like wordpress functions, using which we can fetch the data an manipulate..

You simply add "//" to 2 lines.. i think you can handle it
