why would you need to search your category? It's possible, but I guess that you would have to get someone to build that since i'm not sure if it would be implemented
As more and more users push oc to its limits these things become apparent.
I now have hundreds of categories....
I already spend more time in phpmyadmin then in sys admin because the input forms fall short in the products, and categories....

Yes I totally agree with this - we have over 8,000 categories and going through one page at a time is painful!
There should be the option to search my top level category which results in displaying all sub-categories under the heading, and the option to search for specific keywords.
This would be a great addition
