Hullo...
Using latest OC and the default theme.
On home page, there's a horizontal menu.
On other pages, there are both a horizontal and a vertical menu (to the left).
I dearly wish to have the horizontal menu to disappear entirely from the site and instead having the vertical menu everywhere, including the home page.
Have searched the forum and tested umpteen "solutions" to no avail.
How do I do, please?
uncheck all the 'top' checkboxes for your categories.
Then, go over to add the category module to the home layout

When you edit a category(catalog/category/edit), in the "Data" tab you have a checkbox that is called "Top". Uncheck it for all categories that appears in the horizontal menu (categories,parent, not subcategories).
Then...to make the vertical menu show on the homepage, go to Extensions/Module and edit "Category" module....add a new module to "Home" layout and choose it's position.

almost similar problem, althoguh my required goes even a step further. please help me ..i am moving one of my clients existing site to Opencart ..he is ok with the layout but wanted menu in the Left bar and i tried it all nothing is working for me,
i have changed the category to left on the homepage.
please seen the screenshot and Recommend me what to do!

I need help with vertical menu. I bought template from pavothemes but I cant make vertical menu like this:
Want menu like on picture when he go on Furniture and he get the subcategories with Accesories and Malesuada (and custom others)
How can I do that?
