Opencart's default recurring subscription extension is actually "not that cool" because it leaves out options. We thank Daniel for making it bare minimum so us developers can keep developing. I would recommend OCX's Extension here:
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... =recurring

or, if you are NOT using Pay Pal Express then mine here:
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... =recurring

Your cash only issue could be a problem however. Depends no your budget for customizations.

whoop ! managed to do it on my own .. got it to work with the cash on delivery and also a credit card payment type that is not suported by opencart and i wil post this extension / instructions for FREE !! yes free .. i am not a developer nor am i progrmmer ... but i belive that the basic OCplatform is a OPEN SOURCE ... and .. if people working on opencart are asking sums up to 100 $ for a module nowadays .. (hey youre askin.. youre not stealing .. but i'm not willing to pay 100$ for a module like that in this economy ).. then mr daniel kerr (i belive he is the original developer of Oc ) should consider not giving out OC for free and making people pay for this software since it's so good that anyone can modify the core code..... sure he and the rest of you will make large sums of money for a short period of time .. but how long is the question until OC becomes outdated and has lost interest ... ceers and have a great day ....

It's free software. It cost you nothing. You do realize that some who develop extensions do it for a living and rely on sales? You do realize that in order to keep the over-head costs to even offer Open Cart the money has to come from somewhere? It's great that you did it yourself:) However, don't complain about the cost of modules when in the long run they benefit you and your company. We all spend money to make money.
