Your shoppica2 needs contrast in the footer and elsewhere that you have grey text or links on whites. Your Visa logo is a bit too new-fangled.

I broke it (order 181 as a test) during checkout

"An error has occurred; please try again later. If you are the owner or the integrator of this website, please log into the Barclaycard back office to see the details of the error."

Strange as had orders going through... I assume that was a message from Barclays? or was it appearing on my site?

The wording, "If you are the owner or the integrator of this website, please log into the Barclaycard back office," would be a first for a normal webserver. But now you know, you, too, are an integrator, so just diddybop in there and take a look at "the details of the error." However, first check your own /system/logs/ file for the timeframe to see what appears there -- you might be surprised at what can be there.

Hi there,

You new store is alot better than your old one. The only point that I would like to make is in your footer the twitter feed the first post is highlighted which I find hard to read (see below)

Or is it just me?

Your new site is looking great. I'm moving over from vstore as well :)

Do you mind me asking a question? I wondered if you found an easy way to transfer your products over to opencart or do you have to do them one by one?

You can export all your products in one file from vstore and as long as you know some sql theb you can write up a script to insert in to new store.

I think it's too much white!
It would look nicer with a 2 colours combination.

Old site was horrendous, you've made a step in the right direction!

Couple of things about your site as it is now:

- Really need to look into a new font. Also, for your logo. You should check out google.com/fonts for some free ones. My favorites are Open Sans, Cabin, Montserrat.

- You mentioned that you changed the colors up, having not seen it before I can't say if that was an improvement. Not a huge fan of the color scheme as it is now. You should check out flatuicolors.com & kuler.adobe.com for inspiration.

- For a store, it doesn't seem to me that you're putting a focus on your products. I would suggest moving that Latest product module up to be right under the slider.

- Speaking of the slider, why not do a little more than a background color with a small photo of the product. Don't forget, you're a STORE! Make your product front & center! BIG Pictures with your product!

- I'm not sure what your site is "about" within the first 5 seconds. The name "British Military Store" makes me think that you are a surplus store, but it looks like you sell lighters. I would strongly suggest adding some solid h1 text, possibly above the slider, that says "We sell X, Y, Z" or something similar - so there's no doubt even your most clueless potential customer will understand quickly what you sell. The "welcome" module is very bland, very text heavy, very disinteresting. I would either replace it or break up the text with more pictures. Ideally of your product.

- Nice header, nice footer...to me it seems like a very unmodified template. I've heard the Shoppica theme name thrown around in this thread. I can't think of what that looks like by default, but I would assume that there hasn't been a whole lot done to it to get it to this point.

Hope my critique didn't sound too critical, and I hope you are able to improve your site based on at least some of these suggestions.

Hey thanks for the reply and if reapply do appreciate all your feedback, this is my first store so any feedback is good.

I am going to go through your comments shortly when I'm at a computer but you have made some real valid points, hopefully in next 24 hours I will have implemented some of them... watch this space :)
