I have a strange problem. While troubleshooting a mod I tried to switch back to the default template to see if my modified template was the cause of the problem. But I am greeted with a blank page instead. Admin is still accessible and no errors in the log to be found. Switch back to my modified template and everything shows up again.
Kind of hard to find out whats wrong if I am getting no errors in the logs. Anybody have any ideas? Something VQ-Mod related perhaps?
Am running 1.5.5.1 CE on a virtual server with other installed OC shops that have no problems. This is isolated to this specific shop.
Is it a clean copy of the default template? You might have a corrupted file in it so I would re-upload the template files from the archive.
Running Opencart v3.0.3.9 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.
But if it's only doing it on the default template, I doubt it's vqmod issue. Did you check to see if you are getting any errors in the vqmod logs?

Switch the error display on and then try to view the site on default theme and you should see the error, as might be some error that doesnt get logged.
Thanks for the suggestions. But there are no errors to be found in both logs. I tried deleting the VQ cache and system cache but no help there either.
I deleted VQ-Mod and uploaded both index.php and admin/index.php again. Now I have the exact opposite! I have the default template running but when I switch to my custom theme I get a blank page!
At least now I'm pretty sure it's not VQ-Mod related. But what could it be? Any suggestions?

Found it in my server logs!
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}'
Silly me!
I had a VQMod for my main menu and apparently I added the final <?php } ?> of the code to the header template file instead of in the VQMod. Hence only the combination of either no VQMod + default template or VQMod + my custom theme.
Follow up question: Why wouldn't this error show up in error log of Opencart like most php errors do?
