Is there a solution for allowing customers to pre pay for shipping? I would like to occasionally run sales where all products a customer purchases during a set time period will all be shipped for one flat rate that they would pay for in advance. If anyone has any ideas or possible extensions that might help make this possible I would really appreciate your input. Thank you very much in advance.

Bump. I see a lot of vendors in my line of work doing this. They pre sell shipping modules but I am not understanding how they know to apply them unless they are doing so manually by matching names after the sales which seems tedious given the volume.

I can see this being done two ways....

1. Customer purchases a product 'prepaid shipping' and the shipping module looks for this product purchased within the given time period and offers a 'free shipping/prepaid' option. (sort of a subscription service if you will) or

2. Shipping module that offers a prepaid option if the customer hasn't already shipped with it before and free if they have within the time period.

Either way would work and shouldn't be too hard to implement, though I don't recall seeing a shipping module quite like that.
