Hey everyone,

I'm trying to find a extension that would allow us to tell customers during checkout when they select a shipping method that their package would arrive between a set of dates and have the ability to exclude certain days like Sundays.

I've seen extensions that allow the customer to pick a date for delivery but that's not what were aiming for here. We're looking more for what Amazon offers with estimated delivery dates.

I would guess that Amazon reads that from the carrier, rather than gambling on being (in)correct. Probably most of us would tend to trust it coming from carrier rather than seller. Most people already know that overnight or air does not mean Sunday delivery but does mean a Saturday delivery premium. Most people already know that ground or two-day or three-day or five-day will take at least but often only a couple of days, with likewise no Sunday delivery but a Saturday premium. And customers will have tracking numbers.

See what you can extract from the carriers. If an extension turns up, all the better. Otherwise assume that customers weren't born yesterday and are not receiving their first ever packages.

I bought Delivery date pro. Still getting ready to launch but very happy so far. I can stipulate minimum lead or exclude certain delivery dates (eg shutdowns etc). Doesn't do estimated dates, but that's just saying time to delivery is between x and y days.
