Multiple manufacturers per product

Hi,

I've been searching for an opencart extension or a way to add multiple manufacturers per product. Does anyone have an idea how to do this? Or is it too difficult because of the database structure? Thank you.

Do you Ctually have multiple manufacturers per product, or are you trying to use the manufacturer field for another purpose (similar to the linked article where they wanted it to be author / publisher)?

Changing the manufacturer is possible but requires a number of changes to the database as well, as mentioned in the linked article. It may be easier to create a new section to the site which is basically a clone of the manufacturer system, but which supports multiple selections per product. This would also be future proof as new versions of OpenCart shouldn't interfere by reverting code.
