with the increasing importance of mobile sales, might there be a way to distinguish and track mobile vs web sales?

we'd love to see how many / percentage of sales come from mobile vs web, especially since oc will use a responsive template as default soon (i believe oc 2.0 will be default responsive)

thanks

I've been hoping for this request to be posted. I do have my own extension for this. I could perhaps integrate it into the checkout confirmation step.

in fact, would be most cool if you could break it down several ways such as operating system and browser perhaps so we could see the most popular devices by name, or if we use an opencart app

for example, just heard that apple phones accounted for 80% of mobile sales this past black friday

I have a rudimentary couple of reports working which I keep meaning to incorporate into my Online Plus Extension, I'll get that done when I have a spare few minutes. It is by no means perfect but gives you an idea.7

wow, nice!

is there a way to distinguish android mobile from android tablets?

change the Visitor Tracker image to include Online Plus text somehow, I didn't at first notice which extension was Online Plus, it's in the extension title but not the extension image, hth

I don't belive that there is any definative way to do this at the moment and the ua string is mostly a general one with some tablets continuing to use 'mobile' in the string even though it is a tablet. I can add a 'mobile' check but it won't be accurate.

Added the mobile/tablet check and it seems to be reasonably accurate. I will add some further narrowing down and then look at updating the online plus extension with these extra reports over the next week or so.
