I am having very similar issues as what is listed above. I have tried all solutions, with no result so far. The checkout process hangs on last step and customers are not brought t confirmation screen. The order does go through however they do not know that so they hit the button again, if its available to them.
We are using authorize.net as our merchant account so I don't think this is limited today pal pro.
We are running 1.5.3.1 and have no vqmod package running at all.
I am not seeing any errors, but this is clearly an issue. The issue started art moving to new server host yesterday. Any thoughts or ideas?

Hi
I'm experiencing a similar problem although with an older version of Opencart v1.4.9.1 using Qphoria's Paypal express module.
Customers report that on return from the Paypal site, when they click the Confirm button - nothing happens and no order comes through as the transaction isn't completed. I haven't managed to reproduce the problem using various browsers and the transaction and error logs look fine.
The one customer I spoke to was using Firefox. Could this be some interaction between the browser/version/paypal and something in Opencart dating back to v1.4.9

Superior1, there actually is a viable, live mydomain.com, and your link accordingly goes to a server reset.
I'll post it here if I relocate what I recall about the spinning pacifier, but in recent months someone ventured that it owed to background Ajax and someone else ventured a fairly simple code fix.

Hi All:
I have somewhat of a similar issue. I'm using PayPal Payment pro and in test mode. It connects and transmits successfully, but this is what I notice.
The checkout is under https://localhost..., but the success message gets transmitted over regular http://localhost. The question is, how do I force the success message to be transmitted over the https://?

Hello, Having the same issue here! Any more info on what could be causing this? Thanks! Also, we are also not using Paypal. Thanks a Lot. This problem started happening about a month ago and none of the current fixes posted have applied to our situation. I do not have the file listed "Vqmod_product_bundle.xml" nor do I have the code posted in customer.php to remove. Please advise. Thank you!
