I have a product that needed to be updated, so I uploaded the new version of the book and clicked the button to push to previous purchasers. I can see the download availability both by just looking at their orders in OpenCart, and by looking in the database itself.
However, most of my customers CANNOT see the downloads in the download area. One customer should have 6 downloadable products. Only 4 show, and at the bottom of the screen it says "Showing 1 to 6 of 6 (1 Pages). Another customer told me that he has 2 pages, but no matter what browser he chooses, attempting to go to the second page just keeps him on the first page.
I have another big rollout of an updated product that is going to affect about 200 users near the end of the year. At this point, I'm just putting the file on my webserver in a hidden directory and sending people to grab it. Is this a known issue? Opencart 1.5.6.
Thanks!

That seems to me to be the first instance. Assuming that you DID originally upload it through OC itself, so that OC could hash the name for authorizing downloads, you might retry that. Transfer somehow didn't complete everything. (If you send it into place via ftp the name will be unhashed and unseen by OC.) Also check your quantity settings for it.
I'm tempted to try reuploading it yet again. Not only is it not showing for prior purchasers, but now NEW purchasers are also not seeing the download available. I've had numerous reports of people telling me that the download screen shows 1 of 6, but only 4 items available, etc. I'm going to try to upload the file one more time and do a test order for myself and see if I can get to it.
Okay - I've figured it out, and I need to change my config.php file. When I first moved my shopping cart from one server to another, I put it in a directory on the server called "shop". Then I decided to reinstall, and put it in a directory called "store". Other things that I change in "store" work. For example, just yesterday I changed something in the catalog/language/english/mail/order.php file, and new mail orders work fine. But when I upload new files, they are going into the "shop" directory structure. I just copied those files over and they are showing up perfectly in the downloads section for my test orders.
The question though, is that since the config.php is pointing to the wrong directory, why is it actually failing? It seems that the config.php is controlling where I upload the files to, but when customers try to get the files, they are going to a different location.
Anyway - solved!
Thanks.
