Opencart Sort Order Tab

Hi OC programmers...

Could someone create an extension that integrates into the backend of Opencart that allows an admin to change the sort order of any module/extension/banner/whatever from one single tab?

Instead of having to go to the specific item I want to change the sort order of, it would be great if I could go to one spot in opencart that lists all the different items that have a sort order, and then change the sort order from there.

Changing the sort order in Opencart is easy until you have to go and change the sort order of something else to actually change the sort order of what you're trying to change...

Its an interesting requirement.... whats the actual purpose or say end result that you are looking for ? You may be looking to randomize the userInteface... Anycase, ping me, we can discuss further..

A problem that I constantly run into is the sort order for various modules. As I change and modify my cart I'm always adding and removing modules and often need to change the sort order of each module to rearrange their load sequence on the page.

However, I often have to go and change the sort order of 2 or 3 other modules before I can get the correct sequence.

It would be nice if I could see all of the modules for a given page loaded into an extension in the back end, and then rearrange the sort order from there.

So for example, lets say I have 4 items in the right column on the product page

1. Manufacturer Logo Widget Sort Order 0
2. Featured Product Widget Sort Order 1
3. Newsletter Signup Sort order 2
4. Banner Image Sort order 3

Now, lets say I want to add a Store Specials widget in between the Featured and Newsletter widgets. I basically have to change all the sort orders again.

What would be nice, is if in the admin backend section of Opencart I can see all the widgets (on one page) that are loaded on the Product.TPL or on Account.TPL or Category.TPL and then rearrange them and add widgets to the section easily on the fly.

That would be really handy...

That's a valid point.. This may be little complex as OC sort orders are per feature/module and not per page... It may be little difficult but let me think over this and get back to you...
