Specials page and Compare page use Homepage layout

Hello!

We have an issue,
If we enable the COMPARE PRODUCTS feature, the compare products page seems to use the ‘homepage layout’ as it shows all the homepage banners and modules BEFORE it shows the compare/specials page.
How can we configure the COMPARE PRODUCTS PAGE to have a different page layout?

Ps. The same is with the SPECIALS page for us

Any ideas?

It had the HOME PAGE LAYOUT as standard in the themes setting
