I am new here and tried to see if I could find a previous topic for this subject. Searching forum topics has never been easy for me. But this is what I need.
I am currently creating a new store using OpenCart 1.5.6. I have a current website up and running but will switch to this one in Open Cart when it is ready.

I sell products and need a page that lists the downloads available for that product. The downloads are free and I would like them all on one page just like this page in my current site.

I suspect there is a way to create a category called Downloads and add each download as a product, but I don't want it going to the cart. I would just like to be able to upload my files, make a download page, and let them click on the file name and it download.

Is there a module that anyone knows of or a way to do that and just bypass the cart and make it a straight download available to anyone that comes to the site?

Thanks in advance.

In admin Extensions / Modules / Welcome / Insert set up a new one for Top and Enabled. Click the Source mode button top left just outside the Description box. Try plopping one of your existing html pages as-is into the box. Without leaving Source mode, Save.

You have the .php in directories, you can drag those in via ftp. If you then fire OC you ought to see an embedded page from what you already have.

There are several ways of going at that, with greater or lesser visual appeal, but that will show you a little bit of what Welcome modules can do. You can make it Top or Bottom or Left or Right, on all or specific landings (Home, whatever).

Welcome. Once you try it and play with it, you'll have some followup questions.
