I've built a site in OpenCart 1.5.5.1 for a car club and they want to work out their shipping the old way, by packing up the order, then weighing it. The club then sends a money request from PayPal for the total cost of the order including shipping.

I am using Free Shipping as the shipping method, which I've labelled "Shipping cost to be advised", and there is no payment provider set up.

Is there any way to edit the shipping cost in an order in the admin panel? I need something that doesn't appear in the front end of the shop.

There are extensions that do this have you searched the store? Jonathan I believe has one of these.

I don't have anything that modifies the shipping cost after the order, unfortunately. Using the built-in order editor, I usually recommend setting up a product called "Shipping" that is $0.01, and you can then add the necessary quantity to the order later to account for the appropriate shipping cost.

Great idea. Keeps it simple and manageable

That sounds like a plan, I'll give it a try if I can create it so that customers can't see it, I'll report back tomorrow.
