Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you know I just released a Layered navigation or Guided Search module.
Currently it only filters on category/manufacturer/price-range I plan on adding more filter options shortly which will be a free upgrade.

The template is just a free one from template world that I modified. I did alot of modification in controller, and model files as well, so I can't really easily release it as a template unfortunately.

yeah I'll clean that up for now in the admin turn off show errors. It's just a notice. I don't really know why daniel has the cart showing notices anyways.

ok I've updated with a fix for that notice error so that it runs fine even with display errors on. You can log into my site and download it again you'll get the new release. The only thing that changed is the catalog/controller/module/layerednav.php to fix that problem.

figures there's always one browser that wants to give you a problem.
I've updated and uploaded a new version that should fix this. change is in the layerednav.tpl file if you just want to upload the one file.
As before just login to my site and download again.

Nice job, looks really nice - and works well too.
I created something similar, a 'Bra Finder' which filters products based on custom criteria like below:
I plan on releasing it once i clean it up into a propper module at some point. Currently you create custom filter options similar to how you create product options which appear in the side bar module.

Iam facing some issues with the module,
Under Components->Monitor i have two items which i can browse to from the main menu.
Where as when i browse using the layered navigation i can see only one,
I tried adding 2 dummy product under Books-Fiction - layered navigation shows only from, where as from the main menu i can see both.
I am really stuck coz of this ,,, pls help me out.

yeah sorry I haven't gotten back to you on this. Looking at it a bit more it looks like it must be some sort of setting on those products as you can see that the desktop category works just fine with sub categories. If you will email me the admin login I'll have a quick look to see If I can figure out what is causing the problems.

I got back to you on it by email. the problem was the phantom specials that show up sometimes when you create new products. I've never been able to track down why this happens, and it is not related to my mod it just happens sometimes. If you remove the phantom $50 special then everything works. Somehow these specials are malformed, and break my mod. My mod does work with properly entered specials.
