For UPS, I'm getting this response: 110208: Missing/Illegal ShipTo/Address/CountryCode
On the same server, I tested another site using 1.5.4 and that site does receive the UPS and USPS Rates.
For USPS, I'm getting the typical "No shipping options available, contact us for further support" message. I also can't make any of the shipping mods from Clearthinking work either (not his fault because they have worked in the past).
Has anyone run into anything similar to this?
There was a post from someone else with similar issues but they're using Joomla / Ace Shop, which I'm not using.
Also, I have gone over the Geo Zones and made sure they matched everything matched between the Local tab under settings and what is entered into the shipping module configs. There are no errors (show errors turned on under settings) on the site or in the log.

Been there and done it multiple times. It was working and then I decided to change the theme today and it wasn't working after that. I flipped it back to default to see if it was an issue with the new theme and it wasn't working there either and I can't even tell you why the other modules have started to work again. None of it is making sense to me. Now I'm stuck on figuring out the most important one so I can get this store opened again. So weird.butte wrote:You might try clearing the /system/cache, /vqmod/mods.cache, and for good measure the /vqmod/vqcache/ files. The system may be remembering something related or unrelated that you did with no reason at the time to worry about it.
I just disabled USPS module and did a bunch of other things (browsing, clearing cache, etc) and then re enabling it and still nothing.

Natch, a search for "110208 site:forum.opencart.com" gave five results -- one apparent spam in Finnish, two OC member searches, PLUS the one just cited and the preset thread itself.
Appreciate the help. I only have the empty index.html file in /download/butte wrote:Owing to "110208: Missing/Illegal ShipTo/Address/CountryCode" -- is there anything weird in /download/?

Still stumped right now and I don't see how the email settings could screw up the rate requests. I've got all of the non rate request shipping modules working (weight based, free, pickup from store, etc).

In an entirely different vein, network connection may be inexplicably blocked somehow, but there should still be an Apache error document unless connection never even got out the door. That would mean looking at OS logs. Whatever it was, something bit you when and where you weren't a-lookin'. Did you happen to digress into firewall or policy settings for an ill-timed moment? Did you touch your routers' or other devices' port, ip4/ip6, or net/subnet settings? If noop on all, then that avenue is clear of bears.
What I can confirm is that ups, USPS, any modules from you and the rest have all worked properly. On one site, none of the modules, themes or anything else have been deleted and no new ones added and that site relies on UPS right now.Johnathan wrote:It sounds like the address isn't getting sent to the shipping modules -- are you sure you're using a valid address during testing? And if so, have you installed anything that modifies the shipping process or shipping files? That would be my guess at where to start looking.
On the other site, I was running your free shipping extension, pickup from store and USPS. They all worked and then I changed the theme yesterday. For awhile, no shipping modules worked but now I've got all but USPS working. If I go back to the default theme, it's the same story so I could be wrong but I don't think the theme is to blame. Since there are no errors showing up anywhere (including firebug), I'm not sure of where to look next.
I appreciate all of the suggestions as well.

Did the host just happen to upgrade php.exe (or do that and booboo) without telling anybody (a usual host m.o.)? That could play havoc, with anything not as carefully written as Johnathan's code. Running little phpinfo.php might help.
Priority and Express mail are the only two that this site uses on the domestic side.

Anything is possible but what's still puzzling to me is that I can go onto a site using 1.5.4 on the same hosting server and it's USPS and UPS rates work. Was something changed in the files between 1.5.4 and 1.5.5.1 that I didn't pick up on?butte wrote:That could have been changed on the USPS end when you weren't lookin' -- there is right now an ongoing change underway to have Priority take over at least some Express (which never ever did compare favorably to prior longstanding 35c Special Delivery that actually worked). There might now be domestic and international modules needed, vs. whatever you actually started with. I can see it crossing minds such as they are inside USPS to give international rates and not bother giving citizens their own domestic rates, for their own postal system that used to work, in both senses of work.
