I have a shipping module set up for usps but theres a LTL option on the cart checkout .. how do i get that off and get the usps shipping to work?

An LTL delivery option is not part of the standard OpenCart installation. You've installed something that's adding that, so I recommend figuring out what it is, and removing it.
For the USPS shipping, your products need to be under 150 lbs, as that's the maximum allowed by USPS.
