Hi Guys

I'm looking for a costing to develop a shipping module for a well known South African courier company, Berco Express.
http://www.bercoexpress.co.za

I have their database table for local (ZA) shipping.

Would anyone be interested in developing one and what would the cost be? Ball park would be cool. I may need to get some other ZA vendors to help sponsor development.

FWIW, I'm not looking to own the module, so you will be free to sell to other ZA users.

So well known that they've already been bought out and renamed ? :)

It looks like aramex is the new name
If there is an API document I can see about giving you a quote to integrate it.

LOL Yes. Berco has just been Bought out by a Middle eastern shipping company called Aramex http://www.aramex.co.za

Best to call the eCommerce guys in CPT (Mark I think) and have a chat to him.

I'm using a flat recovery module based on weight. Not ideal, however I thought that once this Berco / Aramex deal is done, and the local guys are on the Aramex shipping system there can be more pressure to bear for a single development than doing one for the 'old' Berco and one for Aramex.

thanks for the help, i was finally able to get hold of the guys at Berco/ Aramex ..... their e commerce service is really kak, they seem to have one guy that deals with development and he seems to be on holiday every second day, i did however get some info out of him, he mentioned that they have done away with the shipping module and that i would have to use the Berco Rest API and documentation to write my own module, im awaiting my clients feedback to see if they can afford the development of a module.

below is a link to the documentation.

LOL Jason. That's Cape Town for you, permanently on holiday.

Not sure why they are phusing the Berco API as everything is moving over to the Aramex system. My thinking would be that wait and see what comes from the Aramex buyout.

Are you still looking to get this made? I have some free space on my plate at the moment if this is still needed.
