Is there some type of extension where it can alert or a way to have some notation about a repeated customer. For example if they're awesome customers and would like to just throw them a discount or a customer who repeatedly tried to make absurd demands and notes to insert?
Basically a way for me to know if they are a repeat customer and there is some type of history that we can know

the customer orders list tab is something I have already with an extension called order entry system. Not quite what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for something where we know to remember the customer next time and have some time of field in the orders section and tells us if it should be a red flag or a customer we should offer a loyalty discount. Maybe some way to have person notes on the admin end for us to keep track of our returning customers.

What you are talking about is one of the main reasons I have created my new sticky note mod. You can take notes on customers or orders and make them "Sticky" so they always show up when you look at that customer or order. You can read more about it here http://goo.gl/lcG9s0. I also have a demo that you can take a looks at. Very handy if you need to remember things about specific customers or orders.
