Disable manufacturers completely

How do I get rid of manufacturer functionality completely... removing from admin and every page of the site. My products do not require a brand/manufacturer.

Hi,

I can help you with a vQmod script that removes any Manufacturers link from the website.
Basically you need to remove these manually, as there isn't an Open Cart option that disables this section.
