I don't know why my support requests don't get listed? Here we go again.....
I need to set up deliveries -
1 to 10 items delivered in the metro area - flat rate of $50
>10 items - subject to quote
any number delivered outside metro area (ie country or interstate) - subject to quote

I have set up flate rate and amended free shipping for the "subject to quote" but it is not working. Can you advise how to do this?

Topics for new users have to be approved by new moderators, so just be patient and yours will get approved in time.

If you need shipping based on the number of items, you'll need to use an extension, since OpenCart does not have this functionality built in. If you used Item-Based Shipping, then you can set up rates like this:

Title: Delivery
From: 0, To: 10, Charge: 5.00

Title: Subject to Quote
From: 10, To: 99999, Charge: 0.00

If you want to further restrict your metro delivery rate by postcode, you could use Formula-Based Shipping instead.

While looking at a payment module info screen I noticed it had Geo Zone as a field where users could select from a pull-down menu. That appears to be what is missing from my cart. Or am I just getting more confused?

I just can't get it to work. The formula-based shipping is always 0. The pick up from store is listed even when the store is 3,000km away. The flate rate shipping which was previously displaying as "subject to quote" has gone. I just have 3 simple rules but I can't figure it out at all.

The "Geo Zone" setting should be in every payment method or shipping method. My extensions allow multiple geo zones to be selected, so they appear in a list of checkboxes.
