When I make a new coupon and set it to a category other than the first one in the category list, the products the coupon applies to reverts to the first category products.

I did change my wording so the customer knows the coupon will be applied at order confirmation. But without the coupon appling to the right product, it does not do any good. All that happens is there is the error msg about invalid, used .....

I don't think you are understanding how the coupon screen works. You cannot set a coupon for a category you set it for products. When you change the category dropdown then the products in that category show up on the left box below and you have to select the ones you want the coupon to apply to and highlight them then click the button to move them to the right box below the dropdown.

Thanks XSecrets

I see what you mean. Believe I will have to do a complete test install and make a total set of video tutorials of all these processes.

Tested my coupon and it works fine.

Sounds like you are using my Coupon By Categories & Manufacturers mod, then you can select products by whole categories or manufacturers. But it is not designed to reload when you reopen it.. it is just used to force the checkmark on the products under that category. Once you save, it applies the check to those products and then when you re-edit the coupon, it will show those products under the previously selected categories as checked. But the Categories won't be checked. Checking them just lets you easily apply a coupon to individual categories. After that, it is at the product level
