I would like to see images more part of products. When a user edits a product it lists the images and the user can upload new. The likehood of a product sharing images with other products is minimal so why is there the dropdown showing all the images. If a category or product doesn't have a image then there is not the option..

When you delete an image. it comes with an error to say you can't delete the image becouse it's assigned to other categories. Isn't that abit silly?

a nice little image gallery for the product admin would be cool. it could have a drag and drop feature to order your photos, first one being default.

I think the current image process is a real let down on what is a lovely little cart to use.
I had a client today asking why they can't set a description for each photo in the product edit, something to think about..

Principly the idea of a global image storage place isn't such a bad thing. You often have to use the same images for many products. However, if you have hundreds and thousands of product images, the current selection method is a pain. I would recommend a tree hierarchy with categories and subcategories to sort and manage images.

But... If I use one image for one product?

I think that could be left the management puts into effect them of the images and to add the possibility to directly load the photos for the product from the product panel.
Practically to have of the images it generates them that they can be associated to the all products, and of the specific images loaded directly from the product panel.

That of thoughts?
