Hi All,

I'm in need of your help. We are customising OpenCart for a customers prescription glasses website. The customer needs the fields added on checkout to be sent across on orders. The below fields are:

Your prescription

Drop down Box
Label: "Sphere"
Answers: -6.00 up to +6.00 (0.25 increments)

Drop down Box
Label: "Cyl"
Answers: -2.00 up to +2.00 (0.25 increments)

Text Field
Label: "Axis"
Answers: Customer input

All the above options must be specified for the left/right eye. They are not to be stored on record but just sent across with the order. The values will do nothing else but be visible on the order.

Can anyone help with this?

the default setup comes with an example on how to do this...

See here: http://demo.opencart.com/Product-1/

You just need to change the options...

Hi,

I know you can add options on the products with drop down's but I also need a text field and I don't believe OpenCart supports text fields on the product options.

Anyway, I didn't want these options on the products, I wanted them on checkout on each order?

Thank you for you're reply.

Jeff

Why do you need a user land field?

There's only ever going to be so many combinations they can enter, you should just add them as options...

The products you sell should tell you which to add.

Check out how your competitors do it.
