Hi,

I need the best language editor because I see several extentions.

Can you please advise me about the best language editor for opencart 1.5.5.1 ?
What's the different between a free and a commercial version?

Kind regards
Pier

Just to update this Thread, I know of 2 versions of FREE Opencart Language Editor Tools,
required for every OpenCart Admin User, who wants to change existing Language Wording.
---
Available Editors for OC v.1.5.x Versions: ( Posting and Links updated on March-30-2018 )
---
This nice and free OpenCart LanguageEditor works perfect:
OpenCart Language File Editor free, all OC v.1.5.6.x Versions:
Design upgraded on 30.March 2018, to match my latest OpenShop Extension:

---
OpenCart Database Language Editor free all OC v.1.5.x Versions:
The only Problem with this Editor is, that updated Values are stored in the Database, and NOT in the
Language files. And if one switches off the Editor, for what reason ever, all changes made are gone ...

Good Luck! ;)

... seriously... that's like suggesting to someone asking about the bus to take a mule. Translating in raw text is so not industry standard in translation these days.

Regarding the suggestions by IP_CAM, they're still a bit on the heavy side for 'just localizers' but I'm willing to try - which of them allow you to export the langpack again after editing? I'm not actually using OC, I'm just maintaining the translation for a client which is why I've been trying to find something that's localizer friendly.

Do, or do not. There is no try.

Qphoria sure meant to use this Editor to 'handle' OC Script Files. After using my PFE Editor (January 20 1999) exclusively for source code scripting purposes (HTML/CSS/Perl) 'til the end of 2013, I switched to Notepad ++ when starting to work on OC Files. For that, it's a genious Tool.

so much to this
