I have recently installed a custom extension which adds four fields to the 'option_values', 'product_options' and 'product_option_values' tables. I need assistance in updating the 'admin/model/tool/export.php' file to incorporate these fields into the Export/Import' function. The custom extension also added a new table but I do not believe that it will affect the Export/Import functionality or vice-versa. Please let me know if you can help and I will provide more details.

I am using ext: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... ort/import for performing Export/Import

Thanks in advance

I am trying to use the export/import add on "Export/Import Tool for OpenCart 1.5.1.x" and I am getting an error in the xls file that is exported. I have 1 product listed and when I export, I get the title line with over 50 columns, but it looks like there is an error in each title.

I do not know what this means, I am not a programmer but I am not completely clueless.
I am using version 1.5.5.1 in a new install.
I am wondering if my mistake is that this program is called 1.5.1 and I am using 1.5.5.1 and it is not compatable.
I need to be able to import large amounts of inventory so this function is very important.
Please can someone let me know if this error message can be fixed or am I using the wrong version of opencart?
also, if this is not going to work, are there any free programs that do the same thing for current version?

Thank you,
Steven

You have noticed the incompatibility, sssteven, 1.5.1 is 4.1 steps below 1.5.5.1 and the gap straddles significant core and database changes. Double-check the compatibility list, then if need be check whether the author has an upgrade or would amend it for you.

There is an import/export by JNeuhoff that works well (he is a seasoned author). There is a possibility of an occasional .xls error (seen only twice that I've noticed here) that probably owes to the several flavors of .xls -- all of which not even Microsoft's own "Excel" versions will all open. Making an extension accommodate them may have touched upon specific .xls and Excel versions that won't work together.
