Hi there,

Just had a quick look at your website. Looks really good. I see that you have a nice following on Facebook.

Got all the contact details on there. Keep up the good work.

Definately doesn't work with FireFox 22.0 on Linux. Opera 12.16 on Linux only works sometimes with the 'Add to Cart'. Maybe you are using one of these exeotic web themes like shoppica? Or perhaps it is simply a very slow server and can't process Ajax requests fast enough?

It's probably best to switch to the default theme while you figure it out (and take a deep breath and get rid of the oddball theme). Function that functions will go further with customers than will short circuits allowed to fly because the sparks are pretty.

Well, alicebabyshop, "what is happen[ing]" is that the theme derails in a trainwreck somewhere out in the sticks well beyond Boobooville. You didn't specify your OC version or theme, which are 1.5.5.1and Journal (which one?). The theme is supposed to be compatible with 1.5.5.1 (see below).

Where the errors which dmsims just posted above refer to http://alicebabyshop.com/catalog/view/t ... /style.css, we see that you have a non-default theme, specifically theme/journal/, and we see the preposterous idea that "[...] http://www.alicebabyshop.com is not allowed by http://www.alicebabyshop.com/ [...]" where the [...] specify non-OC code references. One of them seems notably weird, since the first URL ends harmlessly enough in ".com" pure and simple but the second URL ends in ".com" trailed by "/:1" RATHER THAN ":1/". Look at your own host control panel's log-in with :2083 or similar, or at typical http://[whatever].com:80 or :80/ specifying the usual port (or 8080 specifying the first alternate port), or at ftp :21, etc. -- none AFTER the trailing slash.

The theme .css commences with this:
/*
Journal - Premium & Responsive OpenCart Theme
Version 1.6.1
Copyright (c) 2013 Digital Atelier
http://journal.digital-atelier.com/
--
MAIN STYLESHEET
*/

At that website there are Journal I, II, III, and IV, with link to themeforest. There's no obvious reference to which would be 1.6.1 amongst them.

There the Documentation shows:
For OpenCart Versions 1.5.4.1 , 1.5.5.1 , 1.5.6
Created: March 13, 2013
Latest Update: August 6, 2013
By: Digital Atelier
Version:1.7.5

I happen to view it not as a "theme" but as a mini-rewrite of the essential software, rewritten WITHOUT due attention to what is already known about 1.5.5.1 and 1.5.6.0 standing on their own, and accordingly I would actually just get rid of it. Both 1.5.5.1 and 1.5.6.0 provide enough excitement already without help. Where it is sold, themeforest, it is proclaimed to have a "powerful admin panel" and shows quite a few features indicating that all of it does not reside safely isolated within the view/theme/journal/ tree. Bad sign.

Moreover, it is visibly not even a serious departure from the essential look-and-feel of the OC default theme (cold-bloodedly compare yours with the OC default).

Try the author. "Theme Support" is http://journal.digital-atelier.com/support/ (there a.k.a "Journal Support").

Meanwhile, consider shutting off the theme, it's interrupting why you have the shop in the first place. Just revert to the OC default theme.

[We seem to be nearing that blurry line where the thread's categorical assignment might warrant review.]

Okay, on 3rd try in Firefox 23.0.1 I finally got something into the cart. I tried the phone, then the train, then the train. I wound up with one train. It won't ship overseas. So now I have one train; over there. So I added a phone, and now I have one train and one phone; over there. Tried guest, it remembered shipping. Backed up, changed to Jakarta, Jakarta, no postal code. Got three rates, chose lowest. It remembered my one train and my one phone. Back into Checkout as Guest. It remembered Jakarta, Jakarta.

Took a deep breath, deleted Vtech Animal Phone. Took a deep breath, deleted Vtech Letter Sounds Learning Bus. No more phone, no more bus. Cart empty.

At the moment it seems to be working okay. At the moment you show, "class="theme_journal_iv".

In order to use the default theme if Journal goes nuts, in admin System / Settings for Store / Edit just change the theme to default.

For Journal support, the link in my prior post (2nd above this) should respond. You would want to tell them about this (from above) --

XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://alicebabyshop.com/catalog/view/j ... lorbox.css. Origin http://www.alicebabyshop.com is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Origin. http://www.alicebabyshop.com/:1

-- not loading, disallowed, and ending in .com/:1 rather than .com/ or just .com alone.

I am using Journal theme and do not have any problems with add to cart. Possibly your theme has not been fully installed. The support from the developers is fantastic. They are very professional and respond quickly. I suggest you submit a support ticket to them at Themeforest.

Some of what you experienced may be server related, pertaining to php.exe version and to settings in php.ini (mostly server and inaccessible, possibly partly in your account. It is also necessary to install all of that theme's modules, before they are selectively enabled in admin Extensions / Modules.

You can use phpinfo.php to see your php.ini settings, mostly "given" on the server, some settable for your own account. See http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... 04#p435704, download the little file, upload it into your shop (root or admin), address it http:// [domain/ or domain/admin]/phpinfo.php in browser. Settings to look for are noted.
