Hi Cyrus!

That's great news :D thank you!

Where are the updated Shoppica files or has the name just not been updated?

Thanks, Keiron

Hi Timbuikema,

It looks like you have extension conflict. Please send me your vqmod log file.

What steps do I need to complete to get this extension as a feature of the home page of our ocart site? I'd like a few simple blog features listed front and center under the category menu bar so I can update with blog entries about sales and products.

Hi Nedapa

- Create articles and add them to category
- Create Article Set (Manage Article Sets )
- Place Article Sets in any layout (Place Article Set)

If you want to place Article Sets to blog, then you have to create new layout in: System->design->layout and add ac_c
ms/blog route. More info in documentation (install).

Hi, so if I install this, will it make my site look like the demo site? I'm not sure about the installation step that asks to upload the files from the upload directory to my open cart root. Won't those file names like "admin" overwrite the current store? Right now I just have the upload folder on the site, but haven't tried installing with the extension to include "upload" since the instructions say to just go www.yoursite.com/install/ac_cms.

Hi Nedapa

Yes, you can do that exactly what you see at demo site.
No, this extension will not overwrite any of opencart's core files. That's why I used vqmod (virtually extends the core files).
www.yoursite.com/install/ac_cms -> if your domain is e.g. www.nedapa.com, then install URL is www.nedapa.com/install/ac_cms

Hi Timbuikema,
You can't, because one article can be added to multiple category (different link same content). But that's not a problem, because if you check the source code, there is a canonical tag inside <head> block. So your SEO will be ok, because it will not count as duplicated content (searchbots will follow canonical tag link).

Hi Cyrus,
I uploaded all files per install instructions. Had install success. Did everything else, but the admin menu bar doesn't have the CMS category. I'm developing locally on MAC.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

hI

Just installed this mod and it's bombing out the site completely, something to do with the SQL query. Worked fine on my local copy, doesn't like the live site.

From error log:

Any ideas?

Hi Sicotommo!

Looks like you have missing tables from database. Please reinstall the AC CMS because I guess you have missed something when you transferred OC from localhost.

Hi, I just bought your extension.
Just one question - can I exclude a category from a blog ?
If I want to add some info pages to the menu, I choose category and all articles, so I have a menu item with articles as submenu. Bu, the same articles are still visible in the blog, so I can't have both the blog, and the category in menu :-(
The same with article set - still all articles are shown in blog, right ?

Best regards
Rafal

Hi Htpcentre

Use "Remove from blog" checkbox - ACCMS -> Manage Articles -> Data tab -> Remove from blog.

Hello,

Purchased this extension yesterday.
Not gone live yet, just messing around in our test shop.
I get this error on top of every page:
Notice: Undefined variable: override in /www/webvol17/c1/a6dyj9q8qytj9h3/carcam.se/public_html/vqmod/vqcache/vq2-catalog_controller_common_seo_url.php on line 73

If I turn off SEO_URLS it dissapears. I have also manually deleted the VQMOD Cache.

Any idease?

I get the following errow installing ac cms 2.3 with opencart 1.5.5 locally.

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Loader::language() in C:\wamp\www\opencart\admin\controller\ac_cms\control_panel.php on line 6
It works, when I comment line 6 out, but keeps coming up for article.php, and all other ac_cms files. Not sure if deleting these lines is the right thing to do? Can anybody helpout?
