We love opencart and it's been a long old road to get it to do what we want but I feel we are there.

Slideshow does not display (Firefox 22.0 on Windows 8 pro)
The font in the menu and buttons causes an interference pattern on my monitor. I changed it for another font and the issue went away.
That orange in the menu is overpowering
Funny looking text (model ?) in the search dropdown e.g. I searched for sa
Also some prices are on the next line (box too narrow?) and there is no gap between price and text on others
Not much text about DSR - This is wrong: "The item must unopened, Unused" and ILLEGAL

Seems the width was set too low. I've now corrected this.

We intend to only use sage pay, in the next month - we won't be accepting PayPal, Google Wallet etc these are just temporary.
Not too worried about organic at this time, as we are paying for adwords to drive traffic.The home link needs to be SEO'd

Im really proud of our logo. Its strong and unique and alot of time spent developing it.
It is templated, agreed however, I lie it just needs some tweaks.
Agree reference returns it does need to be simplified or make it 1 or 2 clicks to get your answer.

It's the first thing I have noticed after the orange color
Maybe because English is not my first language I have to really read because my brain is not familiar with English word like it is with French ones!

Don't bother with the orange color if you like it, it's your site and there will probably be just a few like me who will find it aggressive to the eyes!
I prefer soft color and last year I hired someone to update my site and he suggest I change my theme to add new functions and I accepted and all the themes he had were to dark for my taste like black/dark green/etc. so I choose the red one but all the time I had that theme I didn't like it! So a few weeks ago I decided to go back to the previous one I had and added all the new functions to it.
So now I'm in love with my theme again but some might find it too "guirly" or old fashion but it's my taste! So that's why I said if YOU like it it's your choice and it's your site!

Agreed I do like it and it does suite in well. My main concern is I want to capture every customer that comes to our store and grab their attention. Not sure if the store does that right now or not.

We all have that same concern/question when we start an online store but I believe that the only answer is: Time and feedback from visitors/customers
Edited to add: When I post my link in this forum last year to ask for opinion about the new look of my store I received some very nasty/bad comments about my taste and the developer's design, it turned out so bad that I asked the moderator to remove the whole thread.
Since then I never asked for opinions I do what I want and the way I want it!

I'm almost thinking about paying a design firm to redo the website but not sure if I want to spend that kinda money. I know I want to stick with Opencart - it does what I want, although we have got about 15 modules installed.

I just went back to look at it again and noticed something, the 5th slide/picture is showing at the same time of the 4th one! Well it looks like there is 2 number 4 picture

I just went to watch the slideshow very carefully and it looks more like there is 6 pictures and only 5 slots!
It does look good, like I said I like soft colors, some likes dark and some likes flashy ones!
Every time I go to a site with flashy colors I have the same reaction like "ouch my eyes" but that won't make me go away if it's where I want to go. It's only because I have problem with my eyes.
You seem very undecided about the choice you have to do! In your first post you said:

I've fixed it for now. Seems there is problem with that one image. Ill have to get it remade.
I do love opencart, I wouldnt change that im just wondering if our design is good enough to compete with the big boys. Only time will tell I guess. I am just wanting it to be the best it can.
