installing on to google sites

I use google sites for my website and they are now closing down the checkout account side of things so I have decided hopefully to give this a shot however I am stuck. I'm trying to install opencart but I have no idea what the ftp is or even if you can do this on google site.

Does anyone know or have any pointers

You will need to buy a domain name from a web host. They will provide you with FTP details to log on to your server, and a MySQL database.

I personally recommend heart internet for web hosting if you are UK based, however OpenCart recommend Arvixe for hosting.

Sorry to hear of the troubles you have experienced with Google sites. I was personally surprised when I heard they were closing down Google Checkout as I always thought it was a great but also profitable service for Google!
