Under product information and setup, How do a add a handling charge (Flat rate per item) for each product.
This is in addition to UPS/Fedex or Postal charges.

You could use Product-Based Fee/Discount, but that would add the fee as its own line item. If that doesn't work for you, I haven't seen an extension that will do that in addition to a UPS/Fedex cost, since it would have to modify those extensions. You'll likely need to hire someone to do some custom work for you.
