Issue with cart module in Safari

I'm in the process of customizing my opencart, and I seem to be having a problem with Safari and the shopping cart module. I moved the code from the module to the column_left div in the layout.tpl file, and it works fine in IE and firefox, but for some reason when I add an item to the cart in Safari, it doesnt display the "1 x Item Title" in the column_left div, but rather it shows up in the main content div. It may be easier to just check the page out for yourself rather than me trying to describe what's happening:

Has anyone else experienced this issue and/or know how to resolve it?

Beautiful theming work. Was your theme a modified theme you purchased or your own custom work? And how did you go about doing the theme? Can you share the process? It would be immensely appreciated. Thank you!
