I have received a big XML-file from a supplier containing photos, prices, etc. but cannot open it. Can someone explain how to open an XML-file?

You can open it in the browser or in a text editor in source mode, but I think the reason they sent it to you is for product import so you might have to find a xml import extension that work for your file's structure or that is able to convert it.
