Length Based Shipping

I've just a made a website and wanted to base shipping on lengths of products as a lot of the items for sale are 5 metres long which incurs much larger shipping charges.

I have got round this by using the weight shipping, naming the weight 'length' and weight unit as 'mtr' which works OK but the pop up box at checkout refers to it as Weight based shipping, which is rather annoying.

It would be nice to have a shipping option based on length

If you just need to retitle Weight Based Shipping, just edit the language file in /catalog/language/english/shipping/weight.php

If you want an actual shipping method that can base rates on individual product lengths, take a look at Formula-Based Shipping
