I'm wondering how do I allow payments to still be processed for items that I choose can be 'pre-order' when they are out of stock. I know how to do it for all items out of stock but I only want it to be available for certain items that can be pre- ordered and not all of them.
Also is there anyway of showing on their invoice that the items are going to be pre-ordered to avoid confusion for regular items in stock?

No one has been able to help me & can't find anything when searching either 
. I was going to just select so that everything can be ordered even if out of stock, but it's not really an option that is preferable. Hmmm I want to make my site live this week! I am now wishing that could at least have a button for pre-order stock that links to a form so they can fill it out and it gets sent to my email and I can bill them to pay a deposit at least. I've seen a mod on here but it's for an old version. Have you had any luck?
