Hi,
I have one shop on opencart and would like to expand to have additional 2 shops, so 3 shops all together. I would like to have a blog with 3 banners for each shop on main domain www.xxx-xxx.co.uk. Each shop would be in catalog, so www.xxx-xxx.co.uk/beds/. All of this under one 'roof', do You think a blog extension could manage? lIke this http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... earch=blog???
Or maybe wordpress?
Would like to add that each shop would sell different category of products, 1. beds 2. kitchen appliances 3. something else. Any clues? or help? Thanks in advance

Just to clarify your idea:
www.xxx-xxx.co.uk is your blog with 3 banners that each go to:
www.xxx-xxx.co.uk/shop1 is your first shop
www.xxx-xxx.co.uk/shop2 is your second shop
www.xxx-xxx.co.uk/shop3 is your third shop
And you want your three shops to have different categories of products in each?
(Categories can be assigned to different stores.)

Hi, thats correct, i need 3 different shops with different category products, layouts, descriptions etc. Unless somebody gives me a better idea, Thanks in advance for all hints
I would use whatever blogging tool suits your needs best. Personally I go to wordpress first.
I appreciate what you want is www.xxx-xxx.co.uk/shop1 but if you are willing to go with http://shop1.xxx-xxx.co.uk this makes it easier.
Assuming we are going with http://bedshop.xxx-xxx.co.uk
Create a new sub domain 'bedshop.xxx-xxx.co.uk'
Install Opencart to that and get it working
Create a new sub domain 'kitchen.xxx-xxx.co.uk'
Point this domain to the same folder where we install opencart last time
Create a new sub domain 'garden.xxx-xxx.co.uk'
Point this domain to the same folder where we install opencart last time
etc...
Once you have made all you can think of go to the admin side of opencart 'system->settings' and 'Insert' all the domains above one at a time like 'http://kitchen.xxx-xxx.co.uk/' (remember to include the / ).
Then set the category options for all your categories in there options for which store they should appear on. Setup your layouts, descriptions etc....and your done.
Quick Recap
Create domain
Install opencart
Create new domains
Point all new domains to the same folder where you installed opencart
Add sites to admin
Setup stores

Hi,
That is a perfect answer, Thanks, but
If i have a chance to ask a pro, i will, don't know what could be usefull
-Can i have a different graphics and design for every single shop? example: shop1 has flowers under bedshop.xxx-xxx.co.uk
shop2 has animals under kitchen.xxx-xxx.co.uk and shop3 has cars as graphics? By saying desing i mean setup of all modules, size of them and so on.
-If i would like to replace a stock opencart home page with a custom html page, is that possible? Off course would like a different custom html page for each shop
-think this is final question, i have an existing shop in opencart, can this shop be the 'one' or it have to be a fresh install?oh, got another one: Do You think that doing things this way is actually worth while? Or should i make one shop with all things thrown together? Seo wise? Any usefull advise? Total amateur here ;p Thanks for all help shown and all help that is on its way
