Had some serious problems with online shop and cannot get it to function correctly. After something went wrong while uploading a picture that was to big (I think this was the initial problem) text files just disappeared. Any way to cut a long story short i cannot get the shop to function correctly anymore and need to know what is causing the problem. My shop has some extensions installed so i have moved it on the server to a new folder and tried a complete new install of version 1.5.1.3 but everytime i restore to database i get text on the top when entering the admin section and no shop will display ony this error text can anybody tell me what it is and how to fix it. Incidently the site and database run ok on my local machine. This is what i get:-
Notice: unserialize() [function.unserialize]: Error at offset 177 of 215 bytes in /hermes/bosoraweb077/b321/ipg.wijnendael/admin/index.php on line 45

Have you tried optimizing and repairing your database? Thru cpanel you can repair it. It looks to me like it may have been corrupted. The image shouldn't have caused it, but their may have been a glitch while you were trying to write it that caused issues.

You might try contacting your webhosts and see if they can restore a backup of your site before the issue occurred. They might charge you a bit for the service, but it would be worth it if it recovers the problem.

Running Opencart v3.0.3.9 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.

Hi thanks for the reply, in the meantime i deleted a couple of tables to check if the problem was in the database. I then restore just the tables (settings & product description) and viola everything appeared to go back to normal. I now am thinking that there are possible other problems in the database that may come to light so i will have to look into a complete repair of the structure as you suggest but will have to do some reading up on this first as i really dont know how to go about it. I do have one slight problem after restoring the tables and that is when the store is in maintenance mode it will not show from within admin and displays as maintenance mode. I have tried clearing history and cookies etc but still will not show and dont know where this coding is in the shop files
