HI Q
I have UC installed on our store and have been getting things ready to switch over from development environment to live and I have come across an annoyance. Nothing to do with the extension as such, but I wounder whether you could give some guidance please? I have a responsive theme and UC works a charm with all formats, except for the smallest - smartphones. When I get to the payment option and I check the T&Cs the iframe loads fine, but it cuts half the iframe off the screen due to the screen width restriction:
Being unfamiliar with how the layouts are created I don't know whether it is possible to have the iframe be full width at the bottom, rather than in the right hand column - so that it would display correctly. In a browser its fine as the side scroller appears and you can access the iframe content, but on an iphone for example, it is impossible to scroll.
Many thanks in advance for any advise you can offer.
Regards

OK Thanks Q - Do you have any kind of timetable or is it just on the 'to-do' list?!Qphoria wrote:Yes I am working on how to get it to be more responsive and shift to a single column on phones and such.
In the short term I see the <--float left/right--> for the checkout. Is it not possible to have the iframe (I only have iframe for cards and PayPal std for PayPal account holders) to be above the footer (and below the 2 columns) so that it is 'full width'?
At least like that the iframe would not get cut off?
Thanks again for your reply

Hi there
Just wondering where the 'trigger' is for the switch from two columns to single column for page 2 of the checkout. I'd like to make it go to single column for someone using a tablet in portrait mode (currently it stays in 2 column format but it cuts off some of one of our payment methods). I have looked in the checkout_two.tpl but can't make it work out unfortunately
Thanks in advance,

Hi, I'm not sure if this has been brought up before but I found an open tag when the Agreement information is clicked. Also, though i'm less concerned about it is the formatting that's present in it when initially it was stripped out.
Chris
Cheers,Chris
That isn't something that's part of uber checkout. I only show the terms as they are defined. You should see the same error when checking terms with normal checkout. It looks like an error in the header tpl file or something.ChrisYee wrote:Hi, I'm not sure if this has been brought up before but I found an open tag when the Agreement information is clicked. I thought that too, but when I disabled uber checkout to compare, the normal checkout has the formatting and template stripped. This can be corrected by editing the checkout_two.php file, though I wouldn't want to do that everytime it gets updated.Qphoria wrote: That isn't something that's part of uber checkout. Something awesome to see might be the ability to move sections around on the page.

Cheers for the assistance. I'll keep digging to see what else I find. Still quite an amazing product.
I am having a problem with the strict redirect rules via checkout-one. It seems that the destination should take into account the variable associated with the source and destination... for example a link to check your order from an email:
/index.php route=account/order/info&order_id=10573&utm_campaign=MYSITE.com&utm_medium=email&utm_source=
sale%2Forder%2Fhistory+MYSITE.com&utm_content=order_account
Or Just:
/index.php route=account/order/info&order_id=10573
These links currently redirect after login to a 404 error page.
Has a solution ever been found for this issue. Even when you simply want to login to your account and check on your order history, you get redirected to checkout-two (if items in cart) or Shopping Cart.
It's confusing for a customer to get to their "My Account" page.
Thanks for your help!

This whole debate about what a customer wants is interesting because everyone is different and if you surveyed a 100 people you might well get 100 different answers. We have always tried to provide our customers with the option, have an account, don't have an account. One thing that is becoming evident is that Paypal are sowing up the market as their Express solution is the easy answer for customers making a purchase - no credit card details to input, no billing address etc. As you can see at our website we give all options for the customer.
